Santacruzan Festival to bring breaking back to the streets of Jersey City on
Sunday, May 29, 2022. The breakdance competition will be held on the
corner of 4 th street and Manila Avenue, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. There will be

for the youth and adult brackets by emailing CUDA at

For CUDA, taking part in the Santacruzan festival has become a tradition for
over a decade. Attendees will be immersed in both old school and new
school Hip Hop music and dancing, view live street art in progress, witness
an exciting martial arts exhibition, and get a chance to partake in a live yoga
session. The Santacruzan festival will surely fill up the Manila Avenue block,
from First Street to Fourth Street, with lots of traditional and modern
Filipino dishes and treats, as well as a wide array of activities and music that
celebrate Flores de Mayo as part of the Filipino culture.
The breaking competition will be hosted by Jersey City b-girls and artists,
G.I. Jane and Empress J*La-Rok. For more details on CUDA’s special guests
and features, see flyer attached.
