JERSEY CITY, NJ — CUDA Culture, in partnership with NJCU Galleries, is proud to present Raw ElementZ: A Tribute to a Youth Breaking Club and Its History in Jersey City. Taking place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the NJCU Visual Arts Building Gallery, this highly anticipated event honors the legacy of a local club that shaped generations of dancers and celebrates the core elements of Hip Hop culture.

The event is open to the public and is held in a wheelchair-accessible venue. It is partially funded by the Jersey City Arts & Culture Trust Fund.
A Jam-Packed Afternoon of Culture, Community, and Competition
“Raw ElementZ” will bring together the community for an immersive experience featuring live music, dance, art, and workshops. Hosted by urban salsa and Bomba dancer, Milagros Castro, also known as Bgirl Miracles as a dancer, Milly and Mermaid. Co-hosting the event will be CUDA’s vice president, Rossana Villaflor, also known as Bgirl G.I.Jane. Attendees can look forward to a dynamic lineup, including:
Youth Breaking Cyphers: Breakdancers of all skill levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—are invited to get down. A “Cypher Champ” will be crowned for each division, with first-place winners receiving a custom art canvas created by the renowned artist, Mustart, represented by Levitate Creative Services.
Workshop and Performances: The event will feature a youth breaking workshop led by Bgirl Krazy of the legendary Dynamic Rockers Crew, a special emcee showcase by Physical Graffiti, and a captivating performance art piece by Empress La*Roc of Jersey City’s own breaking crew, NBK.
An Explosive Breaking Exhibition Battle: Audience members will witness the true rawness of the dance in a high-energy exhibition battle between Bboy Rinto of the Dynamic Rockers (NYC) and Bboy Sencillo of Supersaiyan (NJ). Media event coverage by Bboynetwork.
Live and Exhibited Visual Arts: Local youth artists will have their work on display in a dedicated art exhibition. Artist and NJCU alumnus, Athena Toledo, will be creating live aura portraits on-site and donating special pieces. Artist Cris Lara will be painting on site with acrylic on canvas, depicting the essence of inner-city lifestyles.
World-Class Sounds: Featured DJs Retlaw and Boogiemind will be on the turntables, spinning the perfect combinations of beats for the cyphers and providing the ideal soundtrack for families and guests throughout the afternoon.
Community Health and Local Eats
In addition to the performances, the Philippine Nurses Association of NJ will be on-site, providing complimentary health screenings for the community.
Light refreshments will be served. Guests will also enjoy a premium culinary experience (while supplies last), featuring delicious BBQ from The Brisket Guy, a highly acclaimed restaurant owned by Trevon Woolford, based in Newark, NJ, alongside a beautifully curated charcuterie arrangement by Bougie Cutie Boards, owned by Bgirl Infini-T of the Full Circle Crew.
